The Kebbi State government has awarded contract for the digitalisation of the state’s owned media houses, Kebbi Television and Radio Station at the cost of 731,182, 000 million.
The official signing ceremony of the contract took place at the Kebbi State Ministry of Information in Birnin Kebbi where the commissioner of Information, Alhaji Musa Hassan Kalgo, signed on behalf the state government while Adamu Musa Hassan , managing director of WED Nigeria Company limited signed for his company .
According to the commissioner, the work is expected to be completed within 8 months and when completed the signals of the two stations would cover all the nooks and crannies of the state.
“When the digitalisation work is completed, it will greatly improve the signals of both stations because the state of the art facilities will be installed and it will go a long way in public enlightenment and propagating programmes of government,” he said.
On his part, the managing director of the company, Adamu Musa Hassan, assured the Kebbi State government of doing quality work which according to him his company is known for.
