Rev. Fr Fidelis Momoh, has enjoined Christian faithful in Awo parish, Ankpa local government area of Kogi State to entrench ‎love above all things to attract God’s favour in every undertakings.

Fr Fidelis, stated this in his homily, yesterday, at Saint Peter Catholic Church, Awo-Akukunda, Ojoku during the Bazaar, saying that‎ vision of many Nigerians have been killed due to lack of corresponding actions to back up their plans on earth.

The clergy expresses worries over the increasing poverty rate in the country noting that many Nigerians have their destinies tied down while others have failed to work on the path of God to succeed.

“Look at it today, Dangote, Bill Gate, Obasanjo and others are prominent men because they backed their visions with action. You don’t expect success with a mere pronouncement that is why poverty is everywhere.

“Carry out a survey round the 36 states of the Federation, you will see for yourself that many in Nigeria are suffering, and they find it difficult to feed three times daily. To me, it is self-infliction.

“This is because, nobody was born poor in the sight of God. Recession or no recession, when you are committed to your visions, backed with your efforts definitely you won’t taste suffering.”

He stressed that‎ most Nigerians entertain fear when they are face with challenges pointing out that “it is when you are faced with challenges that you see the face of God and know how faithful you are.”
