The Kaduna State House of Assembly has suspended two of its Members of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The suspension as a matter of Public Importance was due to their engagement in activities tending to destabilize the Assembly thereby bringing it to disrepute.

Hon.Mukhtar Isa Hazo (Basawa) moved the motion saying that the Assembly which is known Nationwide for being among the best should not allow such happenings.

“in this regard i wish to move that Hon. Danladi Angulu Kwasu (Zangon Kataf) and Hon.Bityong Yakubu Nkom (Kaura) be suspended from this assembly till further notice”.

Seconding the motion, Hon. Aliyu Abdurrahman Haruna (Kawo), said the Leadership of the House has been preaching togetherness, telling them to drop the differences between the parties they have been elected into, if there is anyone who tries to create problem, then proper action will be taken against that person.

The Speaker Of the House Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi Shagali announced their suspension till further notice.

The circumstances almost resulted into chaos as both Dr.Bityong Yakubu Nkom and Hon. Danladi Angulu Kwasu refused to go out as directed by the Speaker saying they were not told their offence which led to their suspension and that they did not face any committee.

The argument led to the speaker adjourning the day’s sitting abruptly.

When newsmen approached the suspended members, Hon.Bityong said he would get back to them while Hon.Danladi Angulu said there are laid down rules before anyone is suspended as we are living in a democratic dispensation.

The spokeperson of the House, Hon.Nuhu Goroh Shadalafiya(Kagarko), when asked to contribute to the issue said whatever was discussed at the floor of the House has covered everything and he has nothing to add to it.

LEADERSHIP however gathered that there was a move to impeach the Majority Leader of the House in person of Hon. Muhammad Inuwa Mabo of Doka/Gabasawa Constituency few weeks back due to some allegations pointed at him.
