Police Parade ‎13 Suspected Kidnappers, Armed Robbers Terrorising Niger State

The Nigeria Police, on Wednesday, paraded 13 suspected kidnappers, cattle rustlers, armed robbers, who have been terrorising Abuja-Niger axis.

The suspects are Abdullahi Ibrahim, confessed to be responsible for the kidnap of the Ardo of Fulani in Dake, Kaduna state and collected N1,500, 000.00; Mohammed Nasiru, Babagida Hassan, who admitted to having sold four riffles to criminals; Zayyana Sani‎, who confessed to specialise in car snatching.

Others are Garba Haruna, Dalha Ali, Ashafa Aliyu, Ibrahim Isah, Audu Yahaya, Umaru Ishiaku, Shehu Jaleh.

Exhibits recovered are three AK47 Riffle, 320 7.56mm AK47 ammunitions, live Cartridges, three cutlasses, one short gun, locally made guns, rods and seven cars.

Speaking at the parade of the suspects in Gawu Babagida, Force PRO, CSP Jimoh Moshood said “the IGP-Intelligence Response Team attached to Operation Absolute Sanity, working on actionable intelligence and in compliance with IGP’S directives to rid Abuja-Kaduna, Abuja-Niger highways and other major roads across the country, arrested the above named suspects.”

Moshood noted that “most of the suspects were arrested in the act after exchange of gun fire with the personnel of the IGP-Intelligence Response Team attached to Operation Absolute Sanity in their hideout along Niger – Abuja axis.

“The suspects arrested confessed and admitted the various criminal roles they played in the commission of the crimes and investigation is ongoing to arrest other members of the gangs at large. The suspects will be arraigned in Court for prosecution on completion of investigation.

Three victims were rescued from their captivity and have been reunited with their families.
