The immediate past governor of Kano State, Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has stated that he is going ahead with the scheduled visit to Kano state on January 30.
Debunking rumours making the round that he has shelved the planned visit in a statement by his spokesperson, Binta Speekin, and made available to newsmen on Friday, Kwankwaso said he is hale and hearty.
Senator Kwankwaso, fingered the state government of sponsoring the false report of the purported cancelled the visit on health ground.
The statement reads in part: “It has come to our knowledge that out of desperation some groups or individuals who are cronies of the Ganduje administration are sponsoring falsehood about Sen Kwankwaso’s scheduled visit to his constituency on the 30th of January.
“wish to make it categorically clear that Alhamdulillah Sen. Kwankwaso is not sick; in fact he has never been healthier. The schedule visit has not been cancelled.
“Therefore our teaming supporters should disregard this report which is a total falsehood. The report is clearly the work of mischief makers who are desperately trying to prevent the visit.
