Kawu Empowers Families Of Deceased Buhari Loyalists

The Senior Special to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Reps), Hon. Sulieman Abdulrahman Kawu Sumaila, has empowered the families of two staunch supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari who lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident while on their way to attend the inauguration of the president’s campaign in 2014.

Kawu supported the two families, whose husbands hailed from Fagge Local Government of Kano State, by distributing two tricycle, popularly known as Keke NAPEP, so they could use it to augment their means of livelihood.

Similarly, the Senior Special Assistant to the President also empowered the family of another deceased supporter of the president and one other who sustained injury, from both Bunkure and Wudil local governments, by distributing farming cows and ploughs to them to farm in order to fend for themselves.

It would be recalled that the deceased, Tijjani, Umar and Makama, who wore the T-Shirts carrying the pictures of both Buhari and Kawu, lost their lives on their way to Abuja in 2014 for the inauguration of the Buhari campaign.

Immediately after the incident, Kawu visited the families of the victims and provided them with immediate assistance as part of measures to relieve their pains at the time.

Distributing the materials in Kano, Kawu said he was moved by the way the deceased showed unalloyed support to the president adding that they deserved support even though no amount could replace the lives of their loved ones.

“I’m extremely proud of your husbands. They really proved that they were good sons and daughters of Kano State by the way and manner they showed unflinching support and loyalty to Mr President even before he became president. We’ll live to remember them, and we pray that Allah (SWT) will grant them Jannatul Firdaus,” He said.

Kawu noted that the gesture was a way of offering assistance, considering the prevailing economic situation in the country, stressing that they need financial muscle to move forward and sustain their means of livelihood even as it was ordained by Allah through the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

While calling on the beneficiaries to make good use of the materials, Kawu noted that the essence of voting President Buhari to power was to assist and serve the masses with vigour and sincerity of purpose.

Responding, the widows of the deceased, Malama Ummulkair Tijjani and Hadiza Umar, who expressed their gratitude, also prayed for both President Buhari and the Senior Special Assistant and assured that they would make good use of the materials to earn decent and comfortable living.
