Tony Elumelu Foundation To Empower Over 200 Entrepreneurs In Taraba



The Tony Elumelu Foundation on Friday urged the people of Taraba State with good business ideas to apply for support from the foundation to actualise their dreams.

The Chairman of the foundation, Mr Tony Elumelu, disclosed this through a live streaming Facebook interaction with prospective applicants  in Jalingo.

Elumelu noted that the foundation had earmarked 100 million dollars to empower people with good business ideas across the 54 countries of Africa.

The chairman explained the government a lone would not be able to  tackle the challenge of  poverty and hunger on the continent.

“The foundation believes that a good business idea can change the story of Africa.

“That is why the foundation is doing everything possible to ensure that no such idea is allowed to die,” he said.

Elumelu said the world’s richest people today were direct outcome of good business ideas.

He cited Bill Gate’s Micro Soft which had grown to be richer than the entire Africa economy.

“With the right financial support and Mentorship, we can produce people like Bill Gate in Taraba,” he added.

The chairman explained that each successful applicant in the state would be supported with 10,000 dollars and would be trained by the foundation for efficiency.

Elumelu said interested persons should apply online from now to March 2018.
