Following the explosion that rocked Okpella community in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, fortnight ago, the former Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Youth and Students Affairs, Comrade Jude Imagwe, yesterday has called increased vigilance among resident of Okpella Community and indeed the entire state.

Imagwe , who spoke in Benin also expressed shock at the discovery of bomb making factory in Okpella said the large quantity of Improvised Explosive Device, IED, further bring to mind the growing insecurity in the Country and urged the federal government to rise up to the challenges of providing security for all Nigerians.

He described as preposterous the ease criminal elements moves and gain access to deadly weapons unhindered and feared that if urgent steps are not taken the Country is gradually falling into precipice of insecurity occasioned by the wanton killings by herdsmen as witnessed in Benue , Taraba and Rivers state and other others parts of the Country.

He however commended Okpella youths, traditional rulers and security agencies for responding swiftly to the security threat that threatens the peace in Okpella following the discovery.

The former Presidential aide who contested for the Etsako federal Constituency seat in 2016, under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, also thanked the party and the people for the support during and after the election adding that his commitment and support to development of his constituency remain paramount.

He noted that despite the flawed outcome of the election which was in favour of the APC he was comforted with the love and support demonstrated by his party faithful.
