The Arewa Youths Assembly (AYA) has described as unfortunate and mischievous attempts to rubbish the good efforts of the special adviser to the President on Amnesty Programme, Brig. Gen P.T. Boroh (rtd) with the malicious allegations of financial misappropriation by detractors.
According to the speaker of the AYA, Hon. Mohammad Salihu in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna, the series of publications against General Boroh is only aimed at smearing his good image and should not be taken serious by any serious minded person.
“We find the character of those behind the ugly statement very irritating phenomenon. On the surface, they have indomitable penchant for knowing what people of little faith want to hear and saying it even if it means contradicting themselves, for self-aggrandizement.
“Ordinarily, we would not bother to respond to an unsigned publication by a phantom group in pursuit of parochial and narrow partisan interest”, it said.
It said that the lies were authored by agents of desperate politicians who are trying to replace competency with incompetency.
“Brig. Gen P.T Boroh is redefining leadership in Amnesty Office, he put in his best to make sure that Niger Delta militants were carried along”, it added.
It said that recently this gang of commissioned distracters came up with another mischievous publication aimed at rubbishing the image of Brig-Gen Boroh since in their usual manner they have taken their case to the court of the media, instead of presenting their allegation before investigative authorities that are capable of unearthing crime and building cases that can be litigated upon in the court of law.
