As part efforts towards giving back to one’s almamata, the 86 set of the Federal Government College (FGC) has built and donated a corpers lodge to the school.
During the formal commissioning ceremony which formed part of the activities of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the old boys association which held at the school premises during the weekend in Kaduna, the president of thr 86 set Mrs Omowunmi Kalejaiye said “the donation was intentioned by the class that had been blessed by this great institution and whom recognised itbwas a duty to sacrifice.
” it is also birthed by a class determined to give back and impact generations after it. It is borne out the unity of purpose, oneness of accord, common goal, dedication to objective, desire To give back against all odds sacrificial giving”.
She disclosed that the momentum was ignited in faaway London by members living there and everyone connected with the vision sought to bring to reality the dream project, adding, ” importantly, the unity of purpose kept pushing us and we held each other, all the way to finish the line” she reiterated.
” I end by saying whatever we as a set have become today in life, has the strong prints of federal government college Kaduna. Amongst us are erudite scholars, well groomed and seasoned teachers, important personalities in government, bankers, business men and women.
“Again, I say our ssuccesses can be traced to a time when we saw Jo limitations in life, no barriers, no difference in tribe or religion, just a melting pot ofbyoung children, willing to he shapened and moulded for the greater future God had in store for us”.
Earlier, the National president of the FGC old boys association, Alhaji Tukur Kazali commended the class of 86 and called in other sets to emulate them.
The building was commissioned by Governor Nasir el-Rufai represented by Alhaji Adamu Muhammed Masur.

At the end of the AGM, new set of executives of Federal Government College Kaduna Old Students Association emerged with Abdulraheem Bajeson as President, David Kevin – Vice President, John S. Mshelia. – General Secretary and Omowunmi Kalejaiye- Assistant General Secretary.
Others are Halima Shehu – Financial Secretary, Anto Usman – Treasurer.
Victor C. Nwawulu. – Welfare Secretary, Cyprian Agudu. – PRO, Sunday Daruwana -Assistant PRO, Chinonye Aboki – Executive Officer I, Lesley Ambe.- Executive Officer II andJonah Jatau – Social secretary.
