President Muhammadu Buhari has reinstated the suspended executive secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Prof Usman Yusuf.
A source in the Federal Ministry of Health confirmed this to LEADERSHIP, last night.
The minister had in July 2017 suspended Yusuf for three months and set up a committee to investigate him of fraud, following a series of petitions.
He, again, extended the suspension of the NHIS in October of the same year indefinitely.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who was the acting president at the time, had asked Adewole to investigate Yusuf.
