The chief executive officer (CEO) of Nigerian Children Ambassadors (NCA) Stephen Osadebay, has said the foundation is focused on promoting Girl-child education in rural communities.
Osadebay who was speaking during the birthday ceremony of recently crowned Little Miss Nigeria, Winner Ekhator noted that the young Queen’s first project which will commence next week is aimed at enhancing the dignity of the girl child, he added that other projects in will include advocacy for enhancement of the child right act which according to him is often neglected.
Winner, on her part expressed her joy as she added a year, while also adding that she was committed to fight against human trafficking in persons and child molestation which has been an ugly trend so many children live with in the society.
The parents of the young Queen, Mr and Mrs Osamede Ekhator assured of giving the foundation the needed support to uphold the virtue the girl child is born with to mold her into a mother to help groom children in the society.
Mr Ekhator also stressed the need to give premium to education of the girl child, adding that it was in their effort to support this drive that they are going to open a foundation to help out of school children particularly the girl children to inspire them to school.
