N20million Fraud: Edo Court Sentence Female Banker To 7years Imprisonment

 Edo State High Court 2, Criminal Division, sitting in Benin City, the State Capital has sentenced one Mrs Gloria Ogbeide to 7years imprisonment for defrauding a customer, Mr and Mrs Mikano  Kadiri  of the sum of N20m.

In suit No B/CD/32C/2016, the State Vs Gloria Ogbeide, the defendant, until now was a staff of Union Bank, Airport road branch, Benin City was convicted  on 2 count charges  under section 1(1)(c) of Advanced Free Fraud and other related offences of the law of the federation

Mrs Ogbeide who was an accounting officer to Kadiri, a former Special Adviser to Governor Adams Oshiomhole had at different occasion defrauded his client and his wife, Mrs Saliu Kadiri the sum of N15million and N5million respectively

Delivering the judgment, Honourable Justice Efe Ikpomwonba who found the accused guilty of both count charges, consequently sentenced her to fourteen years imprisonment to run concurrently for 7years without option of fine
