The secretary, Transportation Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Comrade Kayode Opeifa, has warned car dealers in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) against the display and sales of cars on unauthorized places in the territory.
Opeifa, who handed down the warning at the weekend in Abuja, noted that indiscriminate display of vehicles within the FCT, especially on highway, obstructs seamless vehicular and human movements.
The secretary remind those involved in this practice that they are expected to obtain necessary permits and approvals from the Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS) of the secretariat as an approved motor vehicle dealers, as enshrined in the FCT Road Transport Regulation of 2005.
He therefore directed those involved in the practice to remove their vehicles from all unauthorised places on or before 5th March, 2018, as officials of the directorate and relevant task forces have been mobilised to enforce compliance.
