The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) said it has begin total inspection and enforcement of FCT Motor Vehicle and Licensing Administration Laws through ‘’Operation Giraffe’’, to enhance safety and security on Abuja roads and high ways.
The secretary, Transportation Secretariat (FCTA), Comrade Kayode Opeifa, who disclosed this at the weekend, warned motorists in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) against non-revalidation of expired documents.
Opeifa observed an increase in the number of vehicles plying the FCT roads and highways with invalid registration documents and frowned that such attitude is capable of hindering the secretariat’s efforts in traffic and security planning in the territory.
He therefore implores all motorists in the territory, especially those whose data are not captured in the Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS) data base to urgently revalidate their vehicle documents with the directorate.
Opeifa also advises those wishing to revalidate their documents or renew their vehicle particulars can do so in any of the directorate’s registration centres located at Mabushi, Gwagwalada, Kugbo, Area one, Federal Secretariat, Kuje, Vehicle Inspection Centre (ONEX) Kubwa Road, Nyanya and Lugbe.
