Group Endorses Senator Wamakko For Second Term



As the political equation towards 2019 election gathers momentum across the federation, a group under the auspices of Sokoto Central Development Organisation (SCDO) has endorsed Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for another term.

Giving reasons for their endorsement, the group said, Senator Wamako’s unprecedented performance plus his unending responses to the yearnings of his senatorial district was beyond measure.

Speaking on behalf of the group, its leader, Alhaji Shehu Budah Gidadawa said the decision to endorse Senator Wamakko for a second term was taken after meeting with all it’s coordinators.

He explained that the coordinators were drawn from seven local government councils of the senatorial district that include Binji, Wamakko, Silame, Gudu, Kware, Sokoto North and Sokoto South, with a zonal coordinators.

Gidadawa said the group at its meeting commended Senator Wamakko for sound delivery of dividends of democracy across not only the senatorial zone but entire state.

“At the meeting with our Local Government coordinators and a zonal coordinator. We praised Distinguished Senator, Alhaji (Dr.) Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for not only ensuring a robust and qualitative representation at the Federal level but also cementing democratic representation among other legislators from the state.

“We as constituents have seen and believed in the good works of Senator Wamakko and we have come out today to officially and publicly endorse him for another term come 2019 as compensation for his good work in the State.

“Our Senator has been a focused, committed, resilient leader. In fact, he has shown consistent leadership style since his inception in the National Assembly. We are so pleased with his display of great sense of courage, steadfastness and tenacity of purpose.” Gidadawa affirmed.

Gidadawa further admonished people of the state to reciprocate such gestures by ensuring that they get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and vote Senator Wamakko once more come 2019.
