Paradigm Initiative Trains 667 Youths In 2017

Paradigm Initiative, a civil society organisation on information and communication technology (ICT) has trained over 667 youths on ICT and entrepreneurship in 2017. This is even as the organisation graduated 248 trainees who successfully completed the 10week intensive training programme at its three centres in Lagos, Abia and Kano as contained in its 2017 annual report. Executive director of Paradigm Initiative, Mr Gbenga Sesan, said that though the organisation’s focus was to impact on lives of Nigerians that more underserved youths were getting connected to opportunities through their digital inclusion and digital rights programmes. “Besides the impressive numbers, the organisation also recorded definitive impact on its trainees,” he added. Also, the organisation’s digital inclusion program manager, Tosin Abolaji,confirmed that the trainees acquired useful skills during the training period “We don’t just provide free training, we also follow up with alumni to help them put their newly-acquired skill or knowledge to productive us,” Abolaji said.
