Dillian Whyte has vowed to ‘cut up’ Lucas Browne with his punches after their weigh-in, yesterday.
The two squared off against each other ahead of their fight at the O2 Arena tonight with Whyte weighing in at 18st 2lb while Browne tipped the scales in at 18st 11lb at the Courthouse hotel in London.

Following the event, Whyte didn’t hold back in letting his opponent know how he was going to beat him and insisted on making Browne ‘bleed’ when they enter the ring.
‘I want to smash this guy’s face! It’s about getting the win – whether we’ve got to box, or try to stop him,’ Whyte told Sky Sports after the weigh-in. ‘I have to approach these fights in a professional manner.

‘There will be blood. I want to make him bleed. He’s a big guy who likes to use his head and elbows. I’m looking to cut him up with my punches.

‘It’s either [Browne] or the champion, and the champion doesn’t want to fight,’ said Whyte who is ranked No 1 by the WBC, for whom Deontay Wilder is the title-holder.

‘So I want to take a good, dangerous fight to learn and improve from. He’s an undefeated fighter, former world champion, massive knockout ratio. If I beat him nobody can say: ‘you’re not credible or world title level’.’

Whyte is almost 8lb heavier than when he beat Dereck Chisora in 2016 while Browne is a stone heavier since beating Ruslan Chagaev two years ago.
