Oyo State Police Command at the weekend said it has arrested a fake Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) who have been extorting money and soliciting undue favour from unsuspecting motorists and members of the public in the state.

Our correspondent gathered that the suspect, a dismissed female police officer, Ayobami Odunayo was arrested for impersonation, stealing and forgery.

The female cop who was dismissed in 2012 was arrested by the police for parading herself as a serving police officer, stealing, extorting money and soliciting  undue favour from unsuspecting members of the public.

She was among the suspects paraded by Oyo state police commissioner Abiodun Odude at the state police headquarter Eleyele Ibadan.

Odude said the culprit who had been parading herself as the Assistant Superintendent of Police and the DCO was actually dismissed in 2012 as a Corporal for  criminal conspiracy and negligence.

The CP added that a search of her house led to the discovery of , one police badge, ID card with sergeant rank,  a police warrant card with the rank of inspector,  a pair of police uniform, blue and black , a pair of police shoulder badge, , a pair of black police belt, and a police cardigan .
