For Nigeria’s engineering construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, it has been a season of commendation and celebration of technical competence and best engineering quality and standards.
The company was honoured for it’s commitment to engineering construction integrity as well as for its delivery of excellent quality and best international standards within contractual timelines in all its obligations to its broad spectrum of highly valued clients.
The award was given by the independent Third Observers whose Board Chairman, Dame Priscilia Kuye observed that the honour was to highlight Julius Berger’s positive and consistent 20 years of dividend payments as a quoted company on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
Within the same week, the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) also presented the company, fondly called JBN Plc by Nigerians, with an Award of Excellence.
The NIESV gave the award to Julius Berger “in appreciation of their tremendous support towards the growth of the Institution.”
It would be recalled that on 12th December 2017, the chief regulating body for the building construction industry, the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB) also presented to Julius Berger’s Board and Management a Plaque of Appreciation.
The Plaque of Appreciation award to JBN Plc, according to the prestigious NIOB, was based on the “the commendable performances (of Julius Berger) in Health and Safety, Good Quality Construction, Projects delivery and Responsive deeds of Corporate Social Responsibility towards the growth and development of professional organisations in the Nigerian built Environment Industry.”
Speaking in Abuja, the Executive Director Administration of the company, Alhaji Zubairu Ibrahim Bayi, expressed the appreciation of the company for the kind and worthy recognition bestowed on Julius Berger by the different respected professional bodies.
According to Alhaji Bayi, “Julius Berger, as a function of its corporate tradition, has a steady and ever improving work culture. Our bottom line in all our operations and contract implementation revolves around the total satisfaction of our clients.”
