John warned the vigilante group against engaging in illegal acts and sharp practices, insisting that his office would continue to work with them with a view to fishing hoodlums and bad eggs suspected to be perpetrating criminal activities.

The DPO also called on the residents of the community to work with the police, stating that crime fighting and control is a collective responsibility of everybody.

He assured the people of adequate protection of lives and property at all time, warning against taking laws into their hands, saying that aggrieved individuals should always channel their grievances to the appropriate authorities.

The chief superintendent of police advised residents of the area to go about their legitimate businesses, without fear of harassment and molestation from any quarter, just as he assured them that police would continue to put on strong measures to nib crime in the bud.
