PCNI Refutes Rumour Of TY Danjuma’s Resignation

The Presidential Committee on North East Initiative (PCNI)yesterday refuted the rumour of the resignation of its chairman, Gen TY Danjuma.

Speaking with LEADERSHIP last night, the PCNI spokesperson, Alkassim Abdulkadir, said the reports of Danjuma’s resignation were mere rumour and handiwork of some mischief-makers.

“As at this time, I have received news of nothing like that. If and when it does happen, Gen T.Y Danjuma will make it public and speak to the press. As it stands now, I have received no news of the sort,” he said.

Collaborating the spokesperson, the vice chairman of PCNI, Tijjani Tumsah, said it was not true that Gen TY Danjuma had resigned his position as the chairman of the presidential committee.

“It is not true. Nothing like that has happened. Gen TY Danjuma, at this moment, is the chairman of PCNI. It is all rumour,” he added.

There were reports that Gen TY Danjuma had abruptly resigned as the chairman of the PCNI.

PCNI was set up by President Muhammadu Buhari, primarily, to serve as national strategy, coordination and advisory body for all humanitarian interventions, transformational and developmental efforts in the North East.
