NFF Seals 2-year Partnership Deal With TVS King




The partnership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has continued to broaden with the Simba Group signing a two-year contract deal to make TVS the ‘official motorcycle and tricycle partner’ of the Super Eagles. SIMBA Group is the parent company of TVS King.

NFF president, Amaju Pinnick said the partnership was part of efforts of the federation to ensure that the country’s football continues to develop down to the grassroots level.

Pinnick, who was represented by the chairman NFF Marketing and Sponsorship Committee and League Management Company (LMC), Malam Shehu Dikko, at the contract signing ceremony held in Abuja, yesterday, said the deal was part of the efforts by the federation to reactivate and promote the development of the round leather game at the grassroots level.

According to him, the two-year deal fits into the frame of the NFF’s commitment to legacy contracts that will benefit Nigerian football on a long-term basis.

“We are partnering with the Simba Group with the objective of truly taking football to the grassroots. Scores of millions of football –passionate Nigerians use the motorcycle and the tricycle, and this is a conscious effort to reach them with the message they love so much.

“It is a two –year agreement, but our delight is that the Simba Group has committed to actively driving the engagement and promotion of the game at the grassroots. In return, they will have access to our programs and can also use the images of our National Team players on their cycles.”

Simba Group’s marketing head, El Hadji Seikh, said the partnership was part of their unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility and also cement their place in the genuine friendship and development of human capital in Nigeria.

“This is another milestone in our commitment to always sow into the courses that give value to human life, especially when it impact on youth, sports, our riders, and grassroots development.

“But adding to our long lasting and unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility and cementing our place in the genuine friendship, development of human capital and in all ramifications, today’s gathering is to consummate yet another union with Nigeria Football Federation on partnering our esteem national football team, the Super Eagles.

‘Today’s ceremony is therefore a combination of months of fruitful discussions on how to earn the right to be the Super Eagles’ official motorcycle and tricycle to the World Cup.”

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi commended the Simba Group for seeing a window through which they could partner with Nigerian Football and grabbing the opportunity, while pledging that the NFF will abide by every letter of the contract.
