Aspirant for the office of National Youth Leader under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Danasabe Kakanda has commended the Nigerian youth for their participation in recent conclusion of the party’s Ward congress held all over the country, on which he described a generally peaceful across the states.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Sunday, Kakanda disclosed that youth participation in the ward congress with a consensus arrangement that produced the candidates is commendable, adding that APC is continuously dominating nation’s political empire.
He said that, the peaceful conduct of the congresses was a clear indication that people; especially youth had accepted the party in the 36 state of federation including the FCT.
According to him; ”The leadership of the party is doing its best to ensure nothings are done in a wrong way, and people have come out and voted for the delegates they want”.
He has, also appreciated party members, security agencies and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for ensuring a level playing ground and peaceful atmosphere during the exercise.
“And I want to appreciate the party members, security agencies and INEC officials for their optimal supports and good behaviors for the success of the congresses,” he said.
He however refuted allegation of manipulation of the results of the congress by state party officials.
“In politics such things happen, to have rumours and false allegations is not something new, but we are aware of the support our youth are ready to give to our great party,’’ he said.
“We know that the APC can get stronger if there is always peace and consensus among all our members. Elections have been conducted peacefully in all over; we thank our youth for this great support.
Abdullahi Kakanda also urged the teaming youth to continue giving support to admiring candidates during Local Government and State Congresses that would hold on May 12 and May 19 respectively.
