Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has assured that he would assist the Sokoto Young Traders association in the revolving loan scheme.
Wamakko who, is the immediate past governor of the state made the plegde when he flaged off the distribution of instructional materials to about 15 primary schools.
The instructional materials where sponsored by the Sokoto Young Traders Association as part of their little contribution to the development of the state’s youths.
Wamakko, according to a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani appreciated the gesture, saying it will go a long way in complementing the state government efforts in funding education, at all levels.
While encouraging the Youth Traders Association to be more concern with manufaturing no matter how local than importation, Wamakko further appealed for establishment of cottage industries in tne state by wealthy individuals.
Talking on the long term benefit of the revolving loan scheme, Wamakko said, it will go a long way in addressing start up capital challenges
On his part, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, represented by the Wazirin Sokoto, Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu, admonished the youth traders union to invest in education saying, its the key to ensuring sustainable national development .
Earlier, chairman of the association, Alhaji Bashir Nuhu said the gesture was part of their little contribution towards the resolution of the state government that every child of school age must acquire education which is free in the state.
