Osun 2018: 27 Aspirants Jostle For APC Guber Ticket

No fewer than 27 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State have declared their intention to seek the party’s governorship ticket to contest the forthcoming governorship election in the state.

The state Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famoodun at a meeting with aspirants and their supporters at the party secretariat in Osogbo stated that aspirants could immediately begin campaign.

He however handed to them 10 rules they must conform with or risk dire consequences warning them against hate speech, and flamboyance during campaigns.

Among the conditions that must be met by the aspirants before they would be allowed to stand for primary according to Famodun include the payment of a sum of N500,000 for Intention Form.

Famoodun also urged aspirants to be peaceful in their conduct and asked them to submit their campaign itinerary to the secretariat for approval.

Speaking on behalf of other aspirants, Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr. Najeem Salaam, urged the party to give all of them level playing ground.

He assured that all aspirants would support whoever that eventually emerged the party’s candidate after the primary and prayed for APC’s success in the September 22 governorship election.
