2019: nPDP Can’t Stop PMB, Says Ganduje

The threat by aggrieved members of the nPDP to dump the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will not truncate the second term presidential ambition of incumbent, President Muhammadu Buhari, Kano State governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has stated.

He said, the grudge by the nPDP members is misdirected and mischievous, he stated that, the Baraje led group does not control the required mass followership to pose a threat to the second coming of president Muhammadu Buhari, in 2019.

He debunks the allegations that some party loyalists were suffering from marginalisation, noting that those agitating against marginalisation do not constitute the majority status of those that truly constitute the nPDP that form a block in constituting the APC.

Ganduje, who claimed to be a staunch member of the nPDP, when the group melted into the formation of APC, strongly disassociated himself from the grieves bee paraded by the aggrieved nPDP block.

“The Senate President, Olusola Saraki is from nPDP, he is now Senate President, he has very important committees, which he singlehandedly approved the chairmen of such committees, that is not marginalisation and he is the Senate President under the banner of APC

“What kind of marginalisation is he the only Senator, out of over 60 Senators, one is being able to become Senate President, so how can he says that he has been marginalised, also he has a governor in Kwara State from the nPDP, therefore a whole governor of Kwara State cannot say he is being marginalised, the Speaker of the state is equally from the nPDP.

“The Senate President has many people from the APC, who were from the nPDP, having many positions, if I can be permitted to say lucrative positions, they have been enjoying under the APC,” Ganduje stated.

He further said, “We majority of the nPDP, we are disclaiming the very allegation of marginalisation, by the so called few members of the nPDP and we believed, we are not being marginalised, because the governor of Adamawa State, is from the nPDP, is now a governor, myself am from nPDP, am now a governor, I am not marginalised and so many other legislators.

“I believe there must be something underground, you know Mr. President is facing a difficult moment; corruption is fighting back, so you can see where the issue of marginalisation is coming from, it is not an issue of marginalisation, it is an issue of corruption fighting back, we would see what would happen,” Governor Ganduje said.

He said, Kano was and remain one of the political strong holds of President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that, all the existing political structures in the state are bent on supporting Buhari’s second tenure bid, come 2019.

Ganduje confidently affirm that, the exist of former Kano State governor,  and serving  Senator, representing Kano Central, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso from APC will not shrink the status of the party in the state.
