A non governmental organisation, Concern Nigeria Youth Development Organisation (CNYDO), yesterday, commended Sen. Godswill Akpabio, over positive impact on youth development.
This was the assertion of the organisation’s national coordinator, Joel Edegba, while appraising impact of Akpabio since he was elected Senator representing Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district.
According to Edegba the youth have been better off in the senatorial district following the commitment demonstrated by the Senator who was former governor of the state for eight years through constituency projects and programmes initiated, including his personal contact with them.
He said, “The Concerned Nigerian Youth Development Organisation (CNYDO) is keen on positive development of young people across the country in order to give them a better future, which we are on for some years with positive results.
“We also assess positive impact of elected officers on young people in the area of capacity building and empowerment. With what we have seen so far after the three years of Senator Godswill Akpabio, representing Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district at the National Assembly, the impact has been enormous.
“Sen. Akpabio has been a lover of young people and has committed enough resources to take young people to the next level even when he was governor of Akwa Ibom State for two terms. We commend the Senator for his lofty impact on youth in Akwa Ibom State and beyond.”
