The Lagos State House of Assembly has passed a resolution calling on the state Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode to direct commissioner for works and infrastructure Engr. Ade Akinsanya and other relevant agencies to reconstruct a collapsed bridge at Lekki-Ajah area of the state.

According to resolution, the affected bridge which links Okun -Ajah , Okun-Afa , Lafiaji, Okun -Mopo and Mopo-Iwaju communities of Eti-Osa Local Government of Lagos, has slowed down economic activities in the area.

The resolution followed a motion moved by a member representing Eti -Osa constituency one in the House of Assembly, Noheem Adams during Monday’s plenary.

He noted that residents of the area are facing a lot of hardship on a daily bases due to the collapsed bridge.

Adams urged the Lagos state government to come to the aid of the affected communities by constructing the link bridge and to also provide alternative road that would open up the coastal towns for residents to connect with other parts of the state.

The resolution was seconded by Hon.Fumilayo Tejuosho.
