As the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares to hold its national congress, a member of the national caucus of the party, Chief Sam Nkire, has urged would-be delegates to use their votes to heal the wounds inflicted on the party during the recent congresses held in the country.
In a statement, which was made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday, Nkire called on delegates at the convention to consider the interests and unity of the party while casting their votes.
The Abia State-born APC stalwart also noted that the success of the impending national convention would go a long way in determining how successful the party would be in the 2019 general elections, adding that the contest must be free and fair.
He appealed to the contestants to see themselves as people aspiring to render service, adding that they must not see their aspirations as “a do or die affair.”
Nkire maintained that he would vote for the former governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomole or any other person endorsed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
