Ekiti 2018: Fayose Instigating Violence Ahead Of July Poll – Adeyeye

Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, has been accused of being responsible for the current spate of violence and killings in the Fountain of Knowledge.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and former Minister of State for Works, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, in a press statement issued on his behalf by the Director of Media of his campaign outfit, Mr. Omoniyi Ojo, said that Governor Fayose should be held responsible for the violent destruction of campaign materials of the candidateofr his party, APC, Dr Kayode Fayemi and other violent events in the state in the past few weeks.

The former spokesperson of the People Democratic Party, PDP, also added that the state governor who he accused of been known for violence acts in the past, is also heating up the polity with violent and threatening statements against perceived ‘’enemies’’ of his administration and his anointed candidate for the governorship election.

Adeyeye also accused Governor Fayose of gagging traditional rulers in the state and sacking civil servants and appointees, who are deemed to be supporting the opposition on trumped up charges.

While appealing to those being humiliated or thrown out of their jobs Fayose to bear with the situation, he assured them that help is on the way after the July 14 election.

He said, “The Ekiti State governor, Fayose, should be held responsible for the present state of insecurity in the state. People who are familiar with his antics, cannot sleep with their two eyes closed anymore.
