The ADLI Foundation, a youth group affiliated to the African Union, has endorsed Ambassador Iyorwuese Hagher for President in the coming 2019 elections.

President of the group, Mr. Olubunmi Dayo David Fagbuyiro, accompanied by other members of the foundation, gave their support during a courtesy call on Professor Hagher at his Abuja office.

“The purpose of our visit is to identify with Prof. Iyorwuese Hagher and his ambition to be president of the federal republic of Nigeria in 2019”,the group leader said.

Fagbuyiro recalled the positive diplomatic exploits of Sen.Hagher in Canada and Mexico and his towering credentials in leadership and youth mentorship in Africa.

He said a perusal of the former Minister’s credentials revealed that he was the best among contenders for the office of President.

“I saw your profile and I agree that this is the kind of person that we want. Leadership is about making the youth to take charge. Leadership is about mentorship and example, and these areas, you are truly above others”, Mr. Fagbuyiro added.

In his response, the founder of African Leadership Institute, Dayton,Ohio,USA, Hagher said the hope invested in him by the youth would be utilised to transform the country from a third-economy to one of the leading ones in the 21st century.

He said, “all my life, I have stood for the development of the youth, youth management and legacy and that is what my presidency will be about.

You are leaders of today, not tomorrow”.

He enjoined other patriots in the country to join hands with him to redeem the country and its youths.

The former envoy, said it was his life-time desire to rescue Nigeria from the perils of collapse, unite its people and purge it from religion-induced terrorism.

He regretted that Benue and other parts of the country were under consistent attacks since 2019 and pledged to work with the ADLI foundation to restore peace in affected areas.

The elder statesman, who has written several books and delivered an avalanche of lectures on leadership and development, reiterated his resolve to “fight for the second liberation of Nigeria”.
