Jigawa State youth group under the aegis of National Movement for Senator Ahmed Makarfi 2019 Presidential ambition, has called on members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to support Makarfi’s presidential ambition as a panacea to the country’s political quagmire.
The chairman of the movement, Adamu Suleman Dutse, made the call yesterday while speaking with journalists in Dutse, the state capital.
He said, Makarfi’s pedigree as a seasoned administrator and prudent financial manager, qualified him for the job of salvaging the country from its current political and economic challenges.
According to him, the country is faced with unprecedented challenges as a result of APC’s bad leadership, and in view of that it requires the services of trusted, tested and qualified person like Makarfi to rescue it from total collapse.
He said that Makarfi used his vast experience in resolving PDP’s leadership tussles and turned it to a formidable political party.
“We are optimistic that, he is the best PDP presidential aspirant that could give the present government a good fight and clinch the power considering his popularity and previous positions held in the country,” he said.
“ It is necessary to call on all well meaning members of the party to give Makarfi their support in order to restore power to where its belongs,” the chairman added.
