APC To Wike: Embark On Projects That Generate Revenue, Employment

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has urged governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, to emulate his Cross River State counterpart, Professor Ben Ayade, by embarking on projects that uplift the lives of the people through revenue generation and employment.
Chairman of APC in the state, Hon. Ojukaye Flag-Amachree, stated this yesterday while speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, upon his arrival from Calabar, the Cross River State capital, said projects that generate revenue and employment will affect the living standards of Rivers people.
Flag-Amachree said, “The seeding and seedlings factory which is a major source of revenue and employment generation is second to none constructed in recent times in our area. This has really shown that any governor who has his people at heart, can develop the state and create other sources of revenue outside federal allocations.
“It is very unfortunate that the reverse is the case in Rivers State, where the only major project in Rivers State is the embezzlement of funds meant for development, and abuse of federal institutions.
“As I speak to you, funds meant for development are been embezzled on a daily basis in Rivers State. Nothing is being done to create employment and generate revenue for the state. When will Rivers people enjoy the dividends of democracy like they did during the time of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi?”
