Jubilation In Kebbi As Court Delivers Verdict In Favour Of Governor Bagudu

Following the verdict of federal high court in Abuja dismissing the suit filed by General Bello Sarkin Yaki, the PDP gubernatorial aspirant in the last election challenging the election of governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State,there was wild jubilation by APC members and well wishers of the governor in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

  LEADERSHIP correspondent who went round the state capital reported that soon after the news of the verdict in favour of the governor was heard,party offices of APC and campaign groups of the governor, Buhari /Bagudu Support Organisation (BBSO)  and 4+4 Buhari / Bagudu went wild into jubilation shouting and dancing on the streets and cruising with vehicles at the premises of their offices carrying the picture of the governor and APC flags.

    The APC publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sani Dododo, who is also the Chairman of the Kebbi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) who spoke to LEADERSHIP from Abuja after the court ruling , expressed happiness over the judgement, saying that the federal high court ruling reinforces the level of transparency and confidence people have for judiciary in Nigeria. He congratulated governor Bagudu and people of Kebbi State for the victory.    While reacting on the matter also, the chief press secretary to Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Alhaji Muazu Abubakar Dakingari said the court judgment was the will of God .

  He commended the outcome of the judgment and called on people to continue to support the government, remain law abiding and maintain peace.

It will be recalled that yesterday, the federal high court in Abuja dismissed the case instituted  by the PDP against the Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu .
