Reappoints Hamza As Provost, FCT College Of Education



Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Mohammad Musa Bello has approved the re-appointment of Dr Mohammed Gambo Hamza as the provost of the FCT College of Education, Zuba.
In a letter of appointment, which was signed by the director of human resource management of the FCTA, Hajia Amina Abubakar, and made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday, the administration explained that the renewal of his appointment was in recognition of his hard work, diligence and professional competence.
Hamza, who possesses a doctorate degree in Arabic Education, joined the services of the FCT College of Education (COE), Zuba in 2001 as a chief lecturer and served in many capacities, including being the pioneer dean of the Schools of Arts and Social Sciences and school of languages, as well as director of remedial studies, among others.
Meanwhile, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reinstalled Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed as the executive secretary of the FCT Primary Health Care Board (FCT-PHCB).
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, who approved Mohammed’s reinstatement, said it took effect from April, 2018 and is expected to complete his second tenure on September 26, 2018.
Recall that Mohammed, the board’s pioneer executive secretary, was controversially removed from office in June, 2017.

However, the director of planning, research and statistics, Dr. Matthew Ashikeni had held the position on acting capacity, prior to the Mohammed’s reinstatement and resumption of duties.
