SDP Dissolves Adamawa EXCO, Constitutes Caretaker Committee

The National Working Committee (NWC), of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has dissolved Adamawa executive committee to address the lingering crisis in the party.
In a statement signed by Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, the National Secretary of the party said, a caretaker committee has been constituted to take charge of the party affairs in the state.
Gabam pointed out that, the NWC took the decision after the state EXCO defied all effort to settle the crisis,  by the leadership of the party  after thorough review of the crisis.
“This decision  was made  by NWC of the party  in pursuant to  Article 12.5.1 (111) and Article 19.6 of the party’s constitution,  after a thorough. review of the unending crisis  in the state.
“We hope this action will restore calm among the various ‘warring’ groups of the state Executive Committee.” The statement added.
The newly constituted caretaker committee , has Mr Calvin Mahalailu as chairman, Alhaji Samaila Yamusa, as Secretary  as well as Jonathan Waziri  as member among others.
The statement  also enjoined the groups and all other party members,  to prepare and participate in the forthcoming word, local government and  state congresses of the party in the state.
