Kaduna state Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, on Friday, approved the appointments of 23 clerks to the legislative councils of the local governments.
In a statement signed by Samuel Aruwan, the Governors’ spokesperson , said, the appointments is in line with the provision of section 16(1) and (2) of the Local Government Law no.3 of 2018, the Kaduna State Local Government and Staffing) Order, 2017 and the Organogram on Local Government and Staffing Order October, 2017.
According to the statement, the appointments were also in consideration of the need for the legislative council to consolidate and function efficiently with time.
The statement reads:”Based on the Law, the Local Government Council Legislative shall have two (2) sections, Legislative and Administrative that will be under clerks’ office.
