The Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has said that the Homeowners’ Charter Programme was meant for the people of the State, irrespective of their social status, ethnic, religious or political affiliations.
The governor stated this during the 32nd edition of the presentation of Certificates of Occupancy and Building Plan Approvals to beneficiaries, at the Arcade Ground, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan in Abeokuta.
Amosun, who was represented by his senior consultant, Eng. Ayo Olubori said no one was stopped from benefitting from the programme, provided necessary requirements were met, saying those who have benefitted could attest to this fact.
‘‘I am here today to tell you that our government has been consistent in the distribution of land title documents to the citizenry, irrespective of the political parties, background, religion. Even, many beneficiaries of this laudable programme have been saying good stories about us’’, he said.
The governor further assured that all qualified applicants that met the requirements under the programme would collect their C of O and other land title documents before the end of his administration.
In his remark, the director of Administration and Supplies, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Muyiwa Ojo, congratulated the beneficiaries and appealed to them to continue to support the government by being good ambassadors in their communities.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Silas and Grace Ojogbede from Magboro in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, thanked the government for putting smiles on their faces.
