Kylie Jenner Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Because Of Kylie Cosmetics
Kylie started her make-up company, Kylie Cosmetics, in February 2016, and it’s now worth $800 million (R10 billion),media reports.
She’s on track to become a billionaire faster than Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg (34), who hit the milestone when he was 23.
“The most successful women entrepreneurs in the country are increasingly taking advantage of technology, including social media, to help them launch and grow businesses,” says Luisa Kroll, editor of Forbes Magazine.
“That’s one reason why we’ve seen a notable influx of Instagram-savvy moguls like 20-year-old Kylie Jenner in the ranks of America’s richest self-made women.”
“Social media is an amazing platform,” says Kylie, who has 25,6 million Twitter followers. “I have such easy access to my fans and my customers.”
But after the cover was released, Twitter went into a frenzy because Forbes called Kylie’s empire self-made.
Even Dictionary.com threw shade at the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister on social media, saying that “self-made means succeeded in life unaided”, report says.
