Nigeria Businesses Commended For Perseverance

Publisher of Accolade magazine, Dr. Luke Okojie, has commended business owners for their perseverance and determination to remain afloat in spite of the harsh socio-economic environment in the country.
Okojie stated this at a press briefing recently in Lagos while announcing the conferment of honorary doctoral degrees of the European-American University of Commonwealth of Dominican on some deserving Nigerians.
Special adviser on local government and chieftaincy affairs to the Kogi State governor, Engr. Abubakar Sadiku Ohere; director of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, David Nelson Sanni; director of science in the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, Ekanem John Udoh; bursar, Kogi State University, Yusuf Adeiza Yahaya; group chief operating officer of Adrons Homes and Properties Limited, Folashade Oloruntoba; Mayor of Yenagoa and chairman of Yenagoa local government council in Bayelsa State, Hon. Oboku Oforji, would benefit from the award which would take place on July 21, 2018.
Others Okojie added, include a retired director and secretary, Civil Defence, of Fire, Immigration and Prison Board, Chief Sunday Daniel Ogu; a Kano-based House of Representatives aspirant, Rabiu Aminu; a senatorial aspirant in Niger State, Shuaibu Gwada; national sales manager of Bajaj Nigeria Co Ltd, Firduos Ahmad Baba, and managing director/CEO of ABCO Business Management Nigeria limited, Abbati Bako.
Okojie stated that former minister of state for education, who is now a faculty member of the university, Prof. Jerry Anthony Agada, would preside over the event, while the special guests of honour would be the public relations officer of the University of Nigeria, Dr. Okwun Omeaku; former executive director, Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria, Prof. Solomon Badejo, and Prof. Kim Agemerien.
Commenting on the awardees, Okojie reiterated that they were inspiring and motivating personalities who have become beacons of hope for a better tomorrow.
“The idea of the award is to celebrate and publicly acknowledge those men and women who have become the pride of our people as well as document their efforts in order to encourage the younger generation on the path to true leadership and prosperity,” he added.
