A delegation from the federal government, yesterday, visited the people and government of Sokoto State over the recent killing of 39 persons in Tabanni village of Rabah local government area.
The condolence delegates, led by Minister of Interior, Lt Gen Abdulrahman Danbazau (rtd), described the incidence as most unfortunate.
Danbazau, who divulged that President Muhammadu Buhari, was personally pained over the ugly incident, noted that they were in the state for an on-the -spot assessment as well.
The interior minister, who stressed that the federal government is working round the clock towards finding lasting solution to such killings, assured that they would collaborate with the state to ensure perpetrators are not only apprehended but also made to face the full wrath of the law.
He noted that the federal government would guarantee adequate security of lives and properties of Nigerians.
Receiving the delegation at Sokoto Government House, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, appreciated FG over the gesture, saying they are putting up measures to forestall future reoccurrence.
