Forum Hails Kogi Governor Over Security

The chairman of Kogi Elders Forum, Elder Julius Elukpo has praised  Governor Yahaya Bello for his efforts at curbing crime in the state.

Elukpo spoke when he led other members of the Forum on an  advocacy visit to the controller of Works in Ministry of Power,  Works and Housing in Lokoja, the state capital.

He maintained that were it not for the proactive approach of the state governor to curb criminality, the failed portion of the highway in the state would all have been declared black spots.

“In all these we have to be grateful to God and Governor Yahaya Bello for his determination to stamp out criminality from the entire state  with the measures he has applied.

“If not the intervention of Governor Bello in steming the tide of kidnapping, robbery and other attitude inimical to the peace and security of the state , the failed portions of the highway would have become the den of the men of the underworld where they could operate freely without challenges,” he stated.

Elukpo urged the Federal ministry of Works to ensure timely rehabilitation of the damaged portion of Lokoja- Abuja road. This, he said is necessary to curb motor accidents and robbery on the highway.
