Landowners at Zaudan Pazeri and Filindabo Layouts, under the auspices of Zaudan Pazeri Property Owners Association, Dei-Dei district, have appealed to the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello to settle the land issues between them and the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
Spokesperson for the group, Elder Friday Ugoala, made the appeal yesterday, while speaking with journalists at Dei-Dei community on the trauma the allottees have been going through since the land issue started.
Ugoala explained that with the complexity of the case in court, the association has the faith that the present administration would stop the illegality meted out to over 1,000 landowners in the community.
He expressed the hope that the administration would settle the issues by granting them the right to develop their plots and that the minister would allow their plots to remain as allotted.
The spokesperson also expressed the hope present FCT administration would order a reversal to what was on ground, concerning Zaudan Pezerri and Phillindabo Layouts.
He continued: “We sincerely beg the FCT Minister to order a reversal to what was on ground. The Zaudan Pazeri and Filindabo Layouts have received ministerial approval and they are authentic layouts.
All that they required for us to do we have complied. We made all the necessary payments, the files, processing fees and they were computerised and regularised. So, anything on the contrary, means injustice.
We are begging the present administration to see to our plight, so that we can develop our plots and have places to call our own. Been tenants here and there are an embarrassment for us,” he said.
