The director general of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Sir Joseph Ari has received Blueprint Newspaper Award of excellence, in recognition of his contributions to job creation and youth empowerment.
Receiving the award yesterday, Ari who was among the fifteen persons honoured at the 2018 Blueprint Impact Series and Awards in Abuja, said the award would further motivate him to deliver on ITF mandate of reducing unemployment and creating wealth in line with the agenda of the present administration.
Ari who was represented by the Manager of ITF Corporate office, Abuja, Alh. Aminu Mohammed, said the award would spur him to do more in the economic development of the country.
He disclosed that the Fund model skills Centre would be upgraded to degree awarding institution, to further boost youth and women empowerment across the country.
The ITF boss, called for more support and collaboration of stakeholders for ITF programmes and also advised unemployed youth to take advantage of ITF skills and vocational training initiatives, so as to become self-reliant and contribute to national economic growth and development.
