Damilola who was convicted on one-count charge of assault by cutting Kudirat Adefamo’s neck with razor blade contrary to section 355 of the penal code.
The convict, who pleaded guilty to the charge, urged the magistrate to temper justice with mercy.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sunday Osanyintuyi, an Inspector of Police told the court that the convict committed the offence on July 15, 2018 around 10:40 am at Oduduwa College Road, Ile-Ife.
Osanyintuyi said that the convict assaulted one Kudirat Adefamo by beating her and unlawfully used razor blade to inflict injury on her neck.
He added that the offence contravened section 355 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.

Her words: “In view of this, the convict is hereby sentenced to three years imprisonment without an option of fine, saying this would serve as deterrent to others.”
