The factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun state, Engineer Bayo Dayo who was suspended along with  the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial district,  Kashamu Buruji and two others have described his expulsion from the party as “height of illegality” which cannot stand.

Dayo, who addressed a press conference yesterday in Abeokuta, the state capital, accused PDP National Chairman, Uche Secondus of promoting and encouraging illegality by heeding the voice of the “highest bidder” to expel the trio.

He further accused Secondus of conniving with a member of House of Representatives from Ogun State, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu at perpetrating the illegality.

The embattled factional chairman however, declared that he remained a bona-fide member of the party and the authentic state chairman, whose tenure would not expire now until April year 2020.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of PDP on Monday announced the expulsion of a Senator representing Ogun East, Buruji Kashamu, Bayo Dayo and factional state secretary, Semiu Sodipo, from the party.

But Dayo, who said he was yet to be formally notified of his expulsion by the national headquarters of PDP, argued that the party did not follow due process in expelling him and others.

He alleged that he had neither been informed of any charges, nor given the opportunity to defend himself as enshrined in the party’s constitution, stressing that the expulsion will crumble.
