Oyo State government yesterday said it has not allotted any land to herdsmen for ranching in any part of the state.

The state Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Survey, Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu while speaking with newsmen in Ibadan, noted that people have been saying a lot about the issue of ranching, said that there was no law for ranching.

“The herdsmen can come to the Oyo State but there is no law for ranching. It is a mere rumour. Ajimobi doesn’t run government alone,” he said.

While noting that there was no perfect human being, the commissioner said “if you are not stubborn, you cannot rule Oyo State.

“You have to be focused, have vision, and where you are going. The governor doesn’t take decisions on his own. He consults widely before taking any decision.

“Ajimobi cannot satisfy everybody, it is all about politics. It is bound to happen. It should not bother us. It is politics. No shaking for the government,” he added.

Speaking on his governorship ambition, the commissioner said he was going to build on the solid foundation already laid by governor Ajimobi.

Omodewu who claimed that he was an insider having been a commissioner in the state since 2011, saying “only an established candidate who is part of the foundation, the present and know how it is going that should take over from Ajimobi”.
