It was all smiles and celebration when the General Overseer and visiting Professor of the American European University, Professor Ejiofor Chinedum Emmanuel was on Sunday conferred the title of the Desmond Tutu Leadership Award for Global Excellence alongside his beautiful wife, Snr Pastor Comfort Ejiofor Chinedum by the ECOWAS Youth Council headed by the Chairperson, His Excellency, Ambassador Seun Williams.
The event took place at the Praise Land Royal Springs Int’l Church in Kubwa, Abuja just a day after the MAN of GOD was conferred by the American European University as a visiting Professor.
Dignitaries at the event were full of praises for the awardee as they said his core values are hard work, integrity, absolute sense of purpose and resilience on divine providence.
According to the Chairperson, of the ECOWAS Youth Council, Ambassador Seun Williams, he stated that the reason for recognising Professor Ejiofor Chinedum and his wife is due to their contributions to humanity as philanthropists.
“He is such a humble man, down to earth person whose core values is to impact humanity. Visiting his church and seeing how he is taking care of the youths and empowering them is highly commendable. He has committed lots of resources into charitable activities through his various life-touching programmes,” he said.
Also popular gospel artiste, Chris Morgan who was a special guest at the event revealed that Apostle Ejiofor is a man who has distinguished himself from others in the field of humanity.
Morgan also thanked him for using his resources to serve humanity which is what Nigeria and Nigerians need at this period.
Responding to all the accolades, Professor Ejiofor Chinedum Emmanuel thanked the ECOWAS Youth Council for finding him worthy of the recognition, promising that it would spur him to do more.
“I am happy that what I’m doing is recognised not just in the country but internationally. We know there are people who need help and I am doing so in my own little way.
“I have respect for everyone that God created on earth and also believing that the destiny of everyman is in the hands of God. That is one philosophy I hold dear to my heart. I want to thank the ECOWAS Youth Council for this recognition. It means a lot to me,” he appreciates.
