Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the Peoples Progressive Party (PPP) has reaffirmed commitment to Nigeria’s democracy. Adding that the party owe the country solemn and sacred duty to bring dividends of democracy to Nigerians.
The National Chairman, PPP, Dr Damian Uzoma, made this known yesterday during the party’s national executive council meeting in Abuja.
Dr Uzoma noted that the party is focused on the single purpose of lifting up the poor and provide the leadership required to address some burning issues affecting the public.
“We believe in prosperity with a purpose, we believe in wealth begotten through enterprise and in renewing Nigeria’s purpose.
“The PPP must enshrine in the constitution, the right of the people to truly choose their leaders with or without political parties, and the rights of the people to directly control the country’s constitution and laws via referendum and plebiscites,” he said.
